Frequently Asked Questions
Injectable fillers are used to restore volume in the face. Over time, our natural facial tissue such as, fat, muscle, and bone atrophy and cause the skin to hollow and sag. Whether the loss of volume is due to genetic predisposition, lifestyle, aging, or a combo of those variables, filler can be used to revolumize the face.
The fillers we use are made from hyaluronic acid and are reversible. The use of fillers can eliminate wrinkles, plump and replace soft-tissue volume loss, hydrate and define the lips, raise scar depressions, and volumize creases and folds of the face.
Our goal with fillers at Racquel Aesthetics is to leave you feeling rested, restored, and revitalized. You should look and feel just like you. These enhancements are subtle yet transformative.
Because everyone’s needs are different, and with such a wide variety of treatments involving filler, a personal consultation is the best way to establish cost. With that in mind, filler treatments start at $675. This cost not only reflects the price of the product, but also the skill, knowledge and expertise of the medical injector.
With fillers, there is instant satisfaction, as results are visible immediately after treatment. Results look "good" immediately and "great" at 2 weeks post-treatment. The healing process begins immediately after, which involves swelling for about 2–7 days, depending on the amount injected, the area injected, and how your body reacts to the procedure. The product then settles and integrates, and you’ll enjoy your final results about 2–3 weeks after injections. Please give yourself a minimum of 2 weeks before any big events in case of residual bruising and swelling.
Longevity differs from person to person and from treatment to treatment. Because the product is being injected into the body, some bodies may metabolize it faster than others. See below for average longevity based on treatment:
Cheek Filler: 9–18 months
Under Eye Filler: 12–18 months
Lip filler: 6–12 months
Lower Face Filler: 9–18 months
Neckline/Tech-Neck Filler: 6–9 months
Jawline Filler: 9–18 months
Nasolabial Fold (Smile/Laugh Lines) Filler: 9-12 months
Earlobe Filler: 9–18 months
Temple Filler: 9–12 months
Facial fillers are a temporary solution, therefore treatments will need to be administered on a recurring basis. Once the foundation is built after the first treatment, consecutive treatments typically require less product to maintain results. On average, patients receive fillers annually or twice annually if more correction is desired.
Bruising is possible, so we highly recommend you plan treatments at least 2 weeks prior to special events.
